Scholastic Book Fair
Hedenkamp Elementary’s Scholastic Fall Book Fair will be held in the MPR on:
- Monday, September 18 – Thursday, September 21: 8:15-9:00 am, 1:30-4:00 pm.
- Friday, September 22: 8:15-9:00 am.
- The dates/times above are open to our Husky Community.
- Students might also visit the Book Fair with their Teacher/Class as part of their school day.
All purchases will benefit the school!
The following forms of payment will be accepted:
- Credit card
- Scholastic eWallet
- Apple and Google Pay
Give your child a safe, cashless way to shop the Book Fair. This digital payment option can be used at the in-school Book Fair or online.
How it works:
- Create an account for each child,
- Add funds…
- …or invite family and friends to contribute.
- Shop the Book Fair.
- Spend unused funds online or fund an eWallet for your next Fair!
After the Fair, remaining eWallet funds are not returned to a credit card but instead, become a gift card balance that can be used online with Scholastic or to fund an eWallet for a future Book Fair. Be sure to sign in with the same email used to create the eWallet.
New this year, teachers will also have their own e-wallets for their classrooms, which you can donate to you help teachers purchase books for their classrooms.

Book Fair Volunteers

Time slots are in 1 hour increments and roles include Door Monitor, Cashier, Trinket Table, and Room Helper. Volunteers will receive a $ off coupon towards a Book Fair purchase. More information is on the SignUpGenius link above.
Apex Fun Run Recap
Thank you to our Husky community for supporting the Apex Fun Run whether with encouragement, volunteerism, and/or pledges. Check out the Fact Sheet above for a summary of our Fun Run this year. Our school profit of $64k beat last years total of $57k!
PTA Membership Reminder
If you are new to Hedenkamp, or returning to Hedenkamp but haven’t renewed your PTA membership, please consider renewing for the 2023-2024 academic year (PTA memberships are active for the academic year). It’s only ~$10!
Also, contrary to belief, joining the PTA does NOT obligate you to any other further commitment. You can join by paying your $10 membership, receive various benefits that come with PTA membership locally, statewide, and nationally that you can take advantage of or not, and then end the school year. Your $10 membership contributed to the various events, fundraising, school upgrades, and teacher support.
Any support whether through donations or volunteerism is greatly appreciated.
